POLITICS AND SPIRITUALITY

I am a Green Party member and have a very idealized goal for democracy and the individual. Wilhelm Reich has been an influence and inspiration to the political/philosophical beliefs I have held since about 5 yrs old (or earlier?). I am a 3rd wave Feminist and a supporter of individual responsiblity over totalitarianism. Hats off to people like Annie Sprinkle, Carol Queen and Camille Paglia.

My spirituality is definitely Pagan and Shamanic. I have training in tarot, alchemey, and magick. I have skirted the edge of yoga and tantra but have yet to dive in.

FILMS

I am definitely a hopeless romantic with a twist and thus my favourite films tend to reflect this. Here is a sample: Sally Potter's "Orlando", Nadja, anything by Hal Hartley , Atom Egoyan, Peter Greenaway, and the duo Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro. This would be just the tip of the iceberg. A separate website would be necessary to cover it all. The recent work of Michael Ninn is something to see as well.

Outside of Feminist and Social Theory writers , the biggest media influences have come from John Cage, Anais Nin , William S. Burroughs, Brion Gyson, Kathy Acker and Wilhelm Reich.
